Athletes from wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, grappling, judo, sambo, MMA, and other combat sports backgrounds may participate.
The 2026 Combat Wrestling World Championships will bring together grapplers from around the world to compete on the international stage in Korea.

8. Weigh-in and Weight Class Change Policy
Athletes must meet the weight limit of the category they entered.
If an athlete fails to make weight, participation in the registered category may be restricted.
Depending on the entry status, bracket situation, and tournament operation, the athlete may be moved to a higher weight category.
However, all weight class changes are subject to the final decision of the organizing committee.
If a weight class change is not possible, the athlete may not be allowed to compete.
Athletes must check their registered weight category and body weight before the official weigh-in.

9. Competition Uniform
Athletes must wear a rash guard or tight-fitting competition uniform.
Each athlete must prepare the correct color rash guard according to their assigned corner.
Please refer to the image regarding uniform regulations.
Uniforms with zippers, pockets, metal parts, hard decorations, or any elements that may cause injury or interfere with the match are not allowed.
The use of protective equipment and detailed uniform regulations will follow the official rulebook and event regulations.

10. Accommodation and Transportation
Athletes and teams are generally responsible for arranging their own accommodation and transportation.
Discounts will be available for participants staying at the official hotel designated by the organization.
The official hotel will be announced later.
Athletes may travel from the hotel to the venue on their own.
If athletes wish to use the shuttle bus, an additional bus fee may be charged.
For international teams and delegations, the Organizing Committee may provide guidance on accommodation, local transportation, and event-related information upon request.

Athletes who need a visa must apply as early as possible.

Some countries may require additional costs during the visa application process.
Participants are responsible for checking visa and entry requirements in advance.
The organizing committee may provide guidance if necessary.

12. Injury and Insurance Notice
Combat Wrestling is a full-contact combat sport.
All participants must check their physical condition before entering the tournament.
Because injuries may occur during competition, athletes are strongly advised to have personal sports insurance.
The organizing committee may provide emergency assistance and on-site operational support for injuries that occur during the event.
However, the participant is responsible for personal injuries, medical expenses, aftereffects, and any related costs.
By entering the tournament, participants are considered to have understood and accepted the risks involved in combat sports competition.

13. Awards
Medals and certificates will be awarded to winners in each category.
The award system may be changed depending on the number of participants, category operation, and tournament situation.
If categories are combined or if the number of participants is small, the award method will be decided by the organizing committee.

14. Broadcasting and Portrait Rights
All matches will be broadcast live on YouTube.
Video recording, photography, interviews, and promotional filming may take place at the event venue.
By participating in the tournament, athletes are considered to have agreed that their match footage, photos, name, team, interview, image, and likeness may be used for broadcasting, promotion, records, news, social media content, and event promotional materials.

Detailed rules, scoring system, fouls, judging criteria, victory conditions, and uniform regulations will follow the official Combat Wrestling rulebook.
All participants must download and check the official rulebook before entering the tournament.
